Cheaper than hotel food but slightly pricey. Walking distance from Taraas. Clean area and comfy ambience for lunch. Had the fried calamari n chips, fabulous n crispy. Large portion. Salted fish fried rice is good but would benefit with more salted fish than chicken to live up to its name.

We find this restaurant nearby our hotel and can warmly recommended. The restaurant himself is nothing special but the food is very tasty and local. Made with care and proud. The team are very friendly and helpful. They have also a small market if you want coke or ships to take back to the hotel. The prices are very local in comparison with the hotel who will take 5 times more for the same dish but poorer in flavours. Try the steamed baramundy fish with ginger and lemon or the squids with black pepper or even the fried vegetables or spinach with garlic or oysters sauce and you will come for more.

We had dinner here on our last night in Redang (a Tuesday in July). The place wasn’t too crowded, and our food was served in a timely manner. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re in Redang!

If you are staying at Taaras, which is an excellent resort, you will want to have at least one night dinner here. It is literally 1.5 minute walk from the Taaras entrance, and let’s be honest a lot cheaper . Food is good and comes fast. Food is tasty, we enjoyed the sotong goreng Tepung, butter chicken and tomyam daging. The beef in the tomyam daging was super tender. If you’re Malaysian, boleh la and cheaper than Taaras. If you’re a tourist/ visitor, it’s an authentic taste you should try

Situated just outside Taaras. Alternative place to eat besides Taaras. A bit pricey, but quite standard for island price; around RM40 for 2 person. Loved their fried calamari. Siakap 3 rasa is decent. Can call them in advance and collect when it’s ready.

Location wise is just outside of Taaras hotel. The price is very reasonable as compare to Taaras. We tried a few dishes from this restaurant and we concluded that not everything is tasty. We didn't try everything in the menu but I can tell you what not to order.
